Thus far my only concession to the fact that, for all intents and purposes, my main character is a social criminal. I had people leaping to the chance to tell me not to insult myself after they saw this strip; they missed the point. I am not insulting myself here. Ondine is insulting herself. She is a reflection of me, yes, but she is not me exactly. The distinction is slight but nevertheless real. And regardless of what Jenny Rowland might think, Ondine Gianti believes what society has told her about her appearance. Isn't the capybara cute? |
